After changing the marketing strategy towards complete automation and letting go of the whole performance marketing team of 250 members, Zalando established a martech department that automates performance channels with the help of data science and engineering.

The presentation will showcase the way how we approach product planning, break features into phases, use data science insights and grow Europe’s largest fashion e-commerce with no performance marketers at all.


Pavlo is a sr. product manager at Europe's largest fashion e-commerce Zalando. He's responsible for building martech products that replace marketers with algorithms and machine learning. Before joining Zalando, Pavlo created the world's first way to monetize Periscope through product placement at Publicfast and launched Spark email client at Readdle, which was awarded as the best for iPad and iPhone in 2015 and 2016 by Apple. Pavlo created launched his e-commerce toolset at the age of 16, used by Adidas and Reebok. He was able to raise $500K in funding and join the closed Thiel Foundation fellowship.
