How to show up in local searches – Local SEO in 2019

This workshop will provide a top to bottom explanation of local search for marketers of all abilities, providing a detailed playbook for showing up in local searches in 2019. Attendees will leave with all of the knowledge and skills required to implement effective local search campaigns for their clients or for their own companies.

The workshop will start with the basics – what Local SEO is, how it’s different from traditional SEO, and which businesses it applies to. I’ll walk attendees through the signals that matter most for establishing local relevance and share specific, actionable tactics for optimizing those signals. The workshop will cover on-site signals (content, technical elements, blogging), off-site signals (link building, citations), Google My Business (verifying and optimizing listings, using new elements for better visibility), and reviews (how to get more reviews, how to reply). The workshop will also include a section on agency or in-house tactics – how to “sell” Local SEO so you can close more business or get buy-in from your company for more investment in time.
